  • Before Care

    Preparing your skin before a wax is just as essential as post-wax care. Here are some tips to help make your appointment quicker and more comfortable:

    1. Trim the Hair: Long hair can make waxing more painful. Aim for hair that’s about 0.5 cm long, or around 1.5 cm if it’s your first time.
    2. Exfoliate: Exfoliate the area 24-48 hours prior to waxing to soften the skin, smooth the surface, and help prevent ingrown hairs.
    3. Shower or Bathe: On the day of your appointment, a warm shower or bath will open up the follicles, making hair removal easier.
    4. Avoid Products on the Area: Don’t apply deodorants, lotions, makeup, perfumes, or self-tanning products on the area before your wax.
    5. Pain Management: If you’re new to waxing or find it painful, take 1-2 paracetamol about 30 minutes before your appointment.

  • After Care

    After waxing, it's normal for the area to be red or tender, with occasional minor blood spots, especially with thicker hair. Follow these aftercare tips to keep your skin calm and irritation-free:

    Within the First 24 Hours
    Avoid touching or scratching, exfoliating, hot showers, sweating, saunas, swimming, exercise, sun exposure, and applying any products (deodorants, lotions, or perfumes) to the area. Wear loose clothing to prevent friction.

    Soothing and Hydrating
    Apply Aloe Vera gel to calm and moisturize the skin. Tea tree oil is also helpful for its antibacterial properties.

    3-10 Days Post-Wax
    To prevent ingrown hairs, start gently exfoliating the area 2-3 times a week with a body scrub, beginning 2-3 days after waxing. Follow with a nourishing moisturiser to keep skin smooth and hydrated. Avoid over-exfoliating to protect the skin.

  • Waxing Maintenance

    To get the best results, it's essential to plan your waxing treatments. Your maintenance schedule will vary based on factors such as hormones, natural hair growth cycle, and individual needs. Typically, new hair starts to grow back within 2-3 weeks. We recommend follow-up appointments every 3-4 weeks for facial waxing and every 4-6 weeks for body waxing.
